Telephone service to Gorham Police Department has been troubled since about 9 a.m. Tuesday. But Gorham citizens can reach the Cumberland County Dispatch Center on the regular business line at 839-5581.

Bill Holmes, director of county communications, said at noon Gorham Police is having problems with its system. Holmes said he didn’t know the cause. He said lines into county’s dispatch center were all functioning properly and the 911 emergency line is unaffected by the problem in Gorham.
