“Holistic Approaches to Wellness for Cancer Patients, Survivors and Caregivers” is the subject of a free series being presented at Bridgton Hospital.

Licensed social worker Emily Ecker of The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center will be the series facilitator.

The series continues with the following sessions:

Oct. 7: The Emotional and Spiritual Impact of Cancer with Priscilla Bickford, a registered nurse and Bridgton Hospital chaplain, and Ecker.

Oct. 14: Gathering State and National Resources Using the Internet and Closure Time: Sharing Reflections, Ecker.

The series is presented free of charge at Bridgton Hospital from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Attendees can choose to enroll for as many, or as few, of the lectures as they wish.
