Although there are many year-round residents on Little Sebago Lake now, there was a time when a cottage or camp on that body of water was a summer refuge. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, several members of Quaker families from New Hampshire came to Little Sebago each summer. This photo is from a collection of one of those families. On a hot summer day in 1903, these folks paddle along, cooling off, and probably never worried about milfoil or other lake problems that would surface a century later.
