Thank you to Val at Maine Flag and Banner in Windham! After the American Legion received the first set of flags that went up on Route 302, Val immediately contacted us and was emphatic she would beat any price we had been quoted for more flags.

Not only did she beat it, she worked a deal that took 20 percent off the best quote we had to date! Thanks to Maine Flag and Banner, our cost for each flag set, including tax and shipping, dropped from $45 per set to $36 for the flag, pole and mounting bracket.

I would also like to clarify one point – this is NOT a fund raiser for the American Legion. We are raising money to purchase flags and all the money raised will be used to buy flags. As of July 24, we have raised $2,775 and had donated flags worth another $864 for a grand total of $3,639. Thank you to Val and all those who have contributed to this project to show Windham’s patriotism.
