Michael Woodbury, 31, of Windham, waived his right to a probable cause hearing Wednesday afternoon at District Court of Northern Carroll County in New Hampshire. He is the suspect in the murders of three men at a Conway military surplus store.

A probable cause hearing occurs after arraignment and before trial on serious crimes only. The prosecutor is required to show why the accused is suspected of the crime.

Woodbury’s trial will be held at the Carroll County Superior Court in Ossipee, N.H. No date has been set.

Woodbury made several public statements admitting to the July 2 triple slaying. He grew up in Windham and has spent less than a year outside prison since he turned 16. After being released last May, he allegedly went on a crime spree from Maine to Florida and back.

Woodbury is also being charged with arson and burglary in Glynn County, Georgia after he and Megan Reeves, 18, of Windham, allegedly burglarized and torched a house valued at over a million dollars in St. Simons Island, Ga.

When being transported from jail to the Oxford County Courthouse earlier this month, Woodbury confessed to reporters that he shot and killed James Walker, 34, of Denmark, Maine, William Jones, 25, of Walpole, Mass., and Gary Jones, 23, of Plymouth, Mass. inside the Army Barracks store during a robbery. He was arrested in Fryeburg during a massive manhunt.
