The grand finale for Windham Hill UCC’s “Music On the Hill” 2007 Concert Series is a fabulous evening of jazz on July 28 you won’t want to miss.
Rounding out a top-notch line-up for “Music On the Hill’s” 10th anniversary celebration is the Thomas Snow-Trent Austin Duo. This duo was first introduced to the “Music On the Hill” audience in 2004, and Windham Hill UCC members welcome them for a return engagement.
Pianist, bandleader, composer, and educator, Thomas Snow, is one of New England’s most versatile and sought-after musicians. A 2005 graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, and a 1991 graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, his musical credits include several CDs, international tours, and a Lecturer of Music at both Bates College and the University of Southern Maine.
Trent Austin graduated from University of New Hampshire in 1997, with a bachelor’s of music degree in music performance. Austin has led a varied career in music, performing in many musical circles (jazz/classical/contemporary). This includes being a featured trumpet soloist for 11 years with the Artie Shaw Orchestra. He also is on the faculty at the University of Southern Maine, while maintaining a highly successful private studio in Salem, Mass.
Save July 28 for one sensational evening of jazz! This concert will begin at 7 p.m., at 140 Windham Center Road, in Windham, and refreshments are served following the concert. Several CDs also will be available for purchase. Concert tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors over 65 and children under 12.
