Harold R. Miller, 54, of Portland, Maine and formerly of Steep Falls, Maine passed away July 14, 2007 unexpectedly. He was born in Island Falls, Maine July 28, 1952.

Harold, or Hallie as he liked to be called, graduated from Bonny Eagle High School in 1970. He drove school bus for MSAD 6 for many years. He then moved on to working as an on-air personality with his daughter for several Maine radio stations such as, WPOR 101.9, WTHT 107.5,WMGX 93.1, and OLDIES 100.9.

Although those were his occupations, his true love in life was his gift in music. He began his journey alongside his best friend Wayne and Brother Joe as teenagers. They went on to form the popular band Nashville Xpress, while playing sold out shows at the County Crossroads for over a decade.

Many talented members came and went, but they remained the back bone throughout the years. Because of their immense talent, they were asked to back such stars as Barbra Mandrel, John Anderson, Conway Twitty, Dick Curlis, etc. They won countless awards throughout the years and brought country rock to the state of Maine. As his children and nephew grew they played alongside him on stage, spanning the generations.

He attended South Coast Community Church in Scarborough, Maine. Hallie loved with all of his heart his family and friends, but he carried a special love for his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his three children, Kerri Miller-Hennebury with spouse Scott, of Portland, and their three sons Liam, Nicholas, and Michael, grandpa’s special little guys. Son Jeremy Miller and spouse Mary Douglass-Miller of Baldwin, and son Adam Miller of Portland and their mother Teresa Ripley of Portland. Two sisters Elaine Abbott and spouse Freeman and their two children, Cory and spouse Ana and two children and niece Tiffany Abbott, all of Limington. Penny Libby and spouse Jeff and niece Lyndie, all of Buxton. Last but not least, his best friend Wayne Cobb, spouse Cheryl and their two daughters, Alison and Kelly Jo.

Predeceased by father Leon B., mother Ruth E., and brother Lional (Joe) Miller, of Steep Falls, Maine.

A memorial Service was held at South Coast Community Church Scarborough, Maine Route 114 on Wednesday July 18, 2007.
