Last month, Rep. Gary Moore, R-Standish, honored members of the SAD 6 Recreation Department girls basketball team, which won the Regional Recreation Department basketball championship in the grades 3 to 6 division. The Sanborn family attended a legislative session in Augusta as the guests of Moore and accepted a legislative sentiment on behalf of the team, which included Shannon Sanborn and was coached by Ike Sanborn. Others members of the team included Kristen Gagne, Haley Thorne, Victoria Cady, Anna French, Monique Denney, Brooke Estes, Ashley Daniello, Lauren Whitten, Makayla Gillespie and Megan French.
