St. Joseph’s College has appointed Lynn Brown of Standish as dean of student affairs.

Brown joined Saint Joseph’s College in September 2006 as the associate registrar, after eight years as assistant principal at Bonny Eagle High School. She also held the position of guidance counselor within SAD 6 for 12 years.

According to Dr. Joseph Lee, president of the college, “Brown brings to St. Joseph’s a wealth of experience as an educational leader.”

Brown, who began her new position on June 1, earned a bachelor’s in psychology and sociology with a minor in religion from Wheaton College, where she graduated summa cum laude. She went on to earn a master’s degree in counselor education from the University of Southern Maine, as well as an assistant principal certificate and a certificate of advanced study in educational leadership.

Brown lives with her husband, Will Sanborn, who is the St. Joseph’s baseball coach and associate athletic director, and her children, Morgan and Lincoln.
