Several area high school athletes made the trip to Fitchburg, Mass., last Saturday where they competed in the annual New England Interscholastic Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Melissa Carrier of Bonny Eagle ran in the 100-meter dash and finished 18th in 13.11 seconds. The Scots’ Amber Cronin competed in the high jump event.
Windham’s Reilly Sullivan placed 25th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.14. The Eagles’ Travis Cook finished 21st in the long jump at 20-04. Windham’s Don Clark took 10th in the shot put at 50-04 and Christopher Darling finished 18th in the javelin throw at 150-05.
Lake Region’s Renee Nicholas finished 20th in the long jump at 16-04.75. And the Lakers’ Luke Elliot competed in the boys pole vault competition.
The Bonny Eagle girls 4 x 100 meter relay team placed 27th in 52.72.
