With the PC activists apparently forcing our state to change all the well-known lakes, mountains, islands, etc. that use this name, I suggest members of the Maine Legislature click on the site below. It is an article written by an Abenaki woman who decries the misunderstanding of this perfectly proper word for an Indian woman.
