The East Raymond Chapel on Route 85 near the town hall will be open once again for the summer season starting June 3 at 8:30 a.m. and goes through to Labor Day weekend. On June 3, the public is invited to an open house from 2-4 p.m. with refreshments served.
The historical chapel was built in 1890 and is on the National Historical list to be preserved with its pink walls, purple color-block windows, and original oak altar furniture and pews.
Church leadership tries to keep the services simple and light – with special music offered every Sunday and hymns played on either the piano or an old pump organ.
The friends and members of the Chapel offer coffee and refreshments after each Sunday service.
