The Maine Department of Transportation released its Biennial Capital Work Plan for Fiscal Years 2008-2009, also known as the Work Plan. The Work Plan lists anticipated capital transportation funding and the department’s strategy to apply this funding to specific transportation improvements throughout the state.

Projects listed for Standish include:

•Intersection improvements at the intersection of Route 35 and White’s Bridges Road.

•Installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Route 25 and 113.

•Highway resurfacing on Route 114 beginning .16 miles north of Route 35 and extending north 6.49 miles.

• Preliminary engineering work for the future replacement of Whites Bridge over Sebago Lake, located on the Windham-Standish town line.

• Maintenance surface treatment on Route 35 beginning at the intersection of Route 202 and extending north 12 miles.

Projects for Windham include:

• Preliminary engineering work for future highway reconstruction on River Road beginning at the Westbrook town line and extending north 8.28 miles.

• Installation of a flashing beacon at the intersection of Falmouth Road and Varney Mills Road.

• Intersection improvements at the intersection of Route 4/202 and Route 115.

• Intersection improvements at the intersection of Route 4/202 and the Falmouth Road.

• Signal upgrades for the signal coordination and interconnection at the intersections of Route 302 with Route 115/35: Shaw’s Plaza/Windham Shopping Center; Walmart/Windham Mall; Franklin Drive/Dangelo’s.

Projects for Sebago include:

• Highway resurfacing on Sebago Road beginning at Shore Road and extending north 1.51 miles.

Projects for Naples include:

• Maintenance paving on Route 35 beginning at Route 302 and extending north 11.10.

• Highway rehabilitation of Route 11/114 beginning .39 miles north of the Sebago/Naples town line and extending north 1.12 miles.

Projects for Casco include:
