Lake-region comedy-lovers will be able to see one of Maine’s most popular comedians close to home when Bob Marley performs at Montebello Ristorante, located on Route 302 in Raymond, on Sunday, May 20.

Marley, a Maine native and University of Maine at Farmington grad, uses biographical and observational material for his stand-up routines. Marley recently observed his 15th year as a comic. He is one of the few comics to do the complete late-night TV circuit, including “The Late Show” with David Letterman, “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, “Late Night” with Conan O’Brien and “The Late Late Show” with Craig Ferguson and Craig Kilborn. His first TV special, “Comedy Central Presents Bob Marley,” premiered in February.

The peripatetic Marley works nonstop throughout the country, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Philadephia, Boston and all of New England.

Tickets to the 7 p.m. show are $20. To order, call the restaurant at 655-7400.
