Kindergarten sign up

Kindergarten registration for SAD 6 will be next month.

In Buxton, the registration will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, at Buxton Town Hall on Portland Road.

In Hollis, it will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, in Hollis Town Hall.

Parents and guardians are asked to take immunization records, their child’s Social Security number, birth certificate and proof of residency.

Congratulations BERT

The Bonny Eagle Robotics Team (BERT) will compete in national competition in April in Atlanta, Ga.

They finished first along with the Camden/Rockland team in a regional competition last week in Manchester, N.H. The regionals included 52 teams from Maine to California.

The Bonny Eagle team now has about five weeks to raise $17,000 for the trip to Atlanta.

Chili-chowder-pie festival

The first Chili-Chowder-Pie Festival will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, at the Bar Mills Parish House on Route 4A in Bar Mills.

To enter the contest, the fee is $5. Those who don’t enter may serve as one of the judges, selecting the best chili, chowder or pie.

Admission is $4; $2; free for children under 5.

Post 130 to meet

The Hutchinson-Boulter Post 130 of the American Legion will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 13, at 401 Bar Mills Road, Hollis.

Sherry on dean’s list

Caitlyn Hanna Sherry has been named to the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement in the fall semester at Bentley College in Waltham, Mass.

Sherry is a senior majoring in corporate finance and accounting.
