Travis Roy to speak at St. Joe’s
As the Saint Joseph’s College baseball team prepares to defend its North Atlantic Conference Championship, the Monks are hosting an on-campus afternoon of inspiration, fine dining and conversation at its 2nd annual Hot Stove Dinner on Saturday, March 4. The gathering features guest speaker Travis Roy, a buffet hosted by Bon Appetit and a Monks baseball season preview. Roy, a Maine native, is a former Boston University hockey player and author of “Eleven Seconds,” which details his against-all-odds journey after a paralyzing injury just seconds into his first collegiate hockey game. The Hot Stove Dinner begins with Roy’s talk at 2 p.m. in the college dining hall. For more information, contact baseball coach Will Sanborn at 893-6675 or e-mail wsanborn@sjcme.edu.
