Mayoral candidates Bruce Chuluda, the incumbent mayor, and Jim Violette, the city council president and a candidate for mayor, will be the guest speakers at Westbrook Community Chamber’s business at lunch at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church.

The candidates will share their backgrounds, as well as their goals for their term in office. They will also be asked to discuss their views on current issues, and inform the voters about any initiatives that they would undertake, if they were elected.

All businesses and their employees are welcome to attend this educational event. Catering will be provided by Olivia’s and is included in the admission fee. This event is $7 for Chamber members and $10 for non-members. Register by calling 772-1196 (extension 228) or by going to www.portlandregion.com and clicking on “Events Calendar.”

“We are pleased to have the mayoral candidates as our guest speakers this month. This will help voters better understand the issues facing Westbrook and how our elected officials will handle them. We invite the general public to attend this event and have their questions answered,” said Darryl Wright, president of the Westbrook Community Chamber and Assistant Vice President of Maine Bank & Trust, Westbrook.
