The Gorham Town Council unanimously approved Michael D’Archangelo as the town’s assessor at its meeting on Oct. 4.
D’Archangelo, 56, and his wife, Gigi, live in Raymond. He graduated from Gorham High School in 1967.
He has been the acting assessor since Dave Sawyer resigned the post in February. D’Archangelo joined the Gorham assessor’s office in the spring of 1999.
“Working with Dave allowed me to learn a whole lot,” he said. “It’s amazing how helpful people have been.”
He said residents with questions should feel free to call him. “I certainly appreciate and welcome the opportunity to serve the citizens of Gorham,” D’Archangelo said.
