We have highly skilled Firefighters, and two that wanted to volunteer their services to the Gulf Coast region. Why couldn’t we send them?

I know there are rules and policies that the city of Westbrook wants to abide by. Why couldn’t this be the exception to the rule?

Has the city of Westbrook offered anything to the Gulf Coast relief fund? This would have been the perfect opportunity to show that we cared even if it were only two firefighters. Why couldn’t we help?

Could the city of Westbrook offer a supper to help out? We have very

generous citizens that live here in Westbrook. I am sure they would attend a supper knowing their money would be going to a good cause. I would volunteer my time to help.

There is an old saying, “If you build it, they will come.” Well, I believe that if the city puts on a supper, the citizens will come.

Come on Westbrook and show some compassion. Someday (God forbid) we may need help.

Thank you for hearing my voice. Now please hear the voices of the

people that need our help.
