Coach’s outlook: We’ll probably have our top two in the top 10 or 15 in the state.

Key concern: Depth; staying injury free; playing hard every week.
Coach’s outlook: We want to play consistently and be competitive with everybody we play. Our goal is to make the playoffs.
Team: Field Hockey

How did last season end: Surprise upset loss in quarterfinals to Falmouth
Key veterans: Senior captains Danielle Moody and Melissa Sanborn; seniors Kristen Walls and Laura Willette; juniors Emma Deans, Chanelle Hallsworth and Megan Hamilton
Key newcomers: Leigh Maniscalco, Corey Perkins, Allysha Jones, Kate Bowring and Meghan Norton should all see significant playing time
Key concern: Building experience for our rookies to prepare them for pressure situations.
Coach’s outlook: Barring injuries, we should be competitive in the SMAA.
Team: Girls Soccer
Coach (yrs in position): Jeanne Zarrilli (3rd year)

How did last season end: Class B state champs
Key veterans: Kelsey Wilson, Caitlyn Butterfield, Alyson Fiebel, Katie Zarrilli, Nicole Robitaille, Ashley Michaud, Jacqui Lara, Kat Cyr, Courtney McLeod and Anna Willis
Key newcomers: Rachele Burns, Molly Folan and Luci Pike
Key concern: Getting to know the group as a team. Also, we’re younger and more inexperienced than last year’s team.
Coach’s outlook: We are a team that plays with a lot of heart and intensity, as well as a lot of unity. We’re about teamwork and doing the best that we can.
Team: Boys Soccer
Coach (yrs in position): Tim King (6th year)
Fall 2004 record: 8-4-2 Regular season
How did last season end: Lost 2-1 in 4 OT to Freeport in quarterfinals
Key veterans: Seniors Patrick King, Phil Reed, Will Pike, Mark Schmidt and Josh Tanguay; juniors Kyle Perkins and Jake Brown; and sophomores Kyle Donaldson, Zach Stover, Isaac Pease and Joel Mundy.
Key newcomers: Seniors James Maston, Trevor Ross and Serkan Rahman; juniors Gunner Smith and Jamie LaMontagne; sophomore Jon Acker-Wolfhagen; and freshman Brandon Patten.
Coach’s outlook: We’re excited about joining the SMAA and hoping to create new rivalries, but surely will miss those with Cape, Greely, Yarmouth and Falmouth from the WMC. Our expectations are to make the tournament.
Team: Girls Cross Country
Coach (yrs in position): John Wilkinson (22nd year)
How did last season end: We didn’t make the playoffs.
Key veterans: We’ve lost nobody. Back is senior Sarah Popovics, who qualified for the state meet and finished in the top 20. Also back are seniors Johanna O’Malley and Kristi Hall.
Coach’s outlook: With only seven members, our numbers aren’t great, but our post-season goal is to qualify as the last team to make the state meet.
Team: Boys Cross Country
Coach (yrs in position): John Wilkinson (22nd years)
How did last season end: We didn’t make the playoffs.
Key veterans: We’ve lost Isaac Worrall, who was fifth at the state meet last year. Back are seniors Ryan Dyer, Ben Douglas and Matt Caldwell.
Key newcomers: We’ve picked up a bunch of numbers, including basketball players Jeff Manchester, Max Bass and Rob Connelly.
Coach’s outlook: We’ll have about 20 members, so it will be interesting who steps up. It’s a good mix. Basketball coach Kevin Jenkins is helping coach cross country this year. (His son Brian, a sophomore, is on the team.)
