Schoolhouse Arts Center’s Youth Summer Shakespeare Workshop will present “Twelfth Night, or What You Will” from August 26-28 at Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake. Shakespeare’s daring comedy takes place in Illyria, an imaginary country full of foolish lovers and wise fools. Considered to be one of the Bard’s most delightful comedies, Twelfth Night is a play rich with mistaken identity and illusion, deception and disguises, madness, and the exceptional things that love may cause us to do, and see.

The 15 youth in the Summer Shakespeare Workshop at Schoolhouse Arts Center range in age from 11 to 17. They have been working with Director Eileen Avery since June, attending workshops and rehearsals throughout the summer. The cast includes John Roberts (Duke Orsino) from Casco, Nate Lawson (Malvolio) and Nick Robertshaw (Sir Toby Belch) from Gorham, Adam Mosey (Feste) and Shannon Mosey (Maria) from Hollis, Jacob Plummer (Sebastian) from Limington, Calvin Moisan (Fabian) from New Gloucester, Kees van Haasteren (Officer, Attendant, Sea Captain) from Raymond, Sara Dodge (Olivia) from Standish, Nicole Avery (Viola), Samantha Avery (Attendant, Lady in Waiting) and Ryan Biggs (Priest, Officer, Attendant) from Steep Falls, and Rachel Cote (Maria), Shane Giles (Antonio), and Austin Loukas (Sir Andrew Aguecheek) from Windham.

This show promises to be a delight for audiences of all ages. Performance times are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Ticket prices are $6 for students and seniors and $8 for adults. Tickets are available by calling 642-3743.
