PROP’s Family Friends Program seeks men and women, 55 years of age and older, interested in volunteering in an after school community arts program.

Volunteers will be involved in activities that include the visual, performing and life skill arts, educational workshops, mentoring, and community service where youth learn new skills, make new relationships and have more of an understanding of one another and themselves.

Family Friends will interact with children and families, once a week, for up to four hours in this after school program located in Portland’s East End. Pre-service orientation, ongoing supervision and recognition are benefits for each enrolled volunteer.
