The Cumberland County Extension Association (CCEA) is looking for a few interested people to serve on the executive committee.
Cumberland County Extension Association helps support the University of Maine Cooperative Extension educational programs in Cumberland County for the public in areas of 4-H and Youth Development, Agriculture and Horticulture, Natural Resources, Family Living, Food Safety and Nutrition. One of the major responsibilities is to oversee the county portion of the CCEA budget.
The Committee typically meets on the third Wednesday evening of every month, except on holidays, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. usually at the Barron Center in Portland.
Executive committee members serve two-year terms beginning in September. The Executive Committee is now engaged in finding new office space. We would invite you to consider joining the Committee at this exciting time.
We would like to have representation from a good cross-section of people from towns all over the county.
If you are interested in serving on the Board, and would like to know more about the executive committee, please call Colleen Hoyt at 780-4205, 1-800-287-1471 or choyt@umext.maine.edu to request an information packet.
