Cumberland County Commissioner Dick Feeney of South Portland recently presented a check for $5,000 to Tim Wilson, Camp Director for the Seeds of Peace camp in Otisfield. The $5000 was raised at the annual Peter J. Feeney, Cumberland County Government golf tournament held in June. The money will be used to continue the miracles of peace performed all summer at the camp for students from the world over. This session, running three weeks, also includes 30 students from Maine.

In making the contribution, Feeney said: “The golf tournament was a project my son began years ago, and he had a strong commitment to the Seeds of Peace, so it is right to give our contribution to this wonderful camp to help bring peace to a troubled world”.

Cumberland County Government provides services to the residents of the county, in the form of deeds, probate court, sheriffs office, corrections, Cumberland County Civic Center, District Attorneys office, emergency management, emergency dispatch services and maintenance of the courthouse and parking garage for superior and district court.
