This building once stood on Main Street between People’s Heritage Bank and Bank of America. When this photo was taken, Maurice Gleckman was the manager of the Westbrook Hardware Store at 837 Main St. Riverside Apartments were on the second floor. Stephen Boothby was the manager of the Westbrook Community Federal Credit Union at 841 Main St. Gary Bowles was the manager of WJAB Radio Station, which was on the second floor, and Parker’s Dress Shop was at 843 Main St. This building was demolished during Urban Renewal, and a parking lot now occupies the site.
