Counseling Services Inc. (CSI) will open a new mental health clinic in Westbrook on Aug. 1, with services located at 12 Westbrook Commons.
The new Westbrook clinic will provide a unique focus by combining traditional mental health services with complementary health services that include a new Healthy Lifestyles Program for both children and adults.
CSI’s clinic offers psychiatric consultation to primary care providers, psychiatric evaluations, and medications management. In addition, clients will receive community support services and opportunities to learn new wellness practices through complementary therapies that include massage therapy, energy medicine, acupuncture, healing touch and reiki. A Healthy Lifestyles Program will be introduced, offering exercise and nutrition for clients struggling with weight concerns.
Founded in 1971, CSI provides outpatient mental health and substance abuse at clinics based in Saco/Biddeford, Springvale/Sanford, and Kittery to 6,000 children and adults annually. The expansion into Westbrook will provide residents in the area with specialized mental health treatment services, and an additional referral source for primary care providers, hospitals and emergency services.
