Coach’s comments “We had a very exciting season. The highlight of the season was winning our first Class A Conference Championship by defeating Deering 8-1 and South Portland 3-2 in the league playoffs. We again made it to the Class A Western Maine Finals by beating Thornton Academy 1-0 and Deering 12-5. Unfortunately we gave up an unearned run in the bottom of the seventh inning and lost to South Portland in the finals in a rain drenched game at St. Joseph’s College. This make the third year in row that we have played for the Class A Western Maine Finals in the three years we have been a class A school. Our team this year was lead by an amazing pitching staff. Ambre Davidson, Kelsey Griffn, Amanda Chamberlain and Caitlin LeBorgne each had an ERA under one. In fact, our team ERA for the year was 0.48. They struck out 188 batters in 102 innings of play and gave up only 36 hits. Our offense was led by three .400 hitters: Sarah Marchilli, .455; Kelsey Griffin, .455; and Amanda Chamberlain, .404. Sarah Marchilli, Ambre Davidson, Kelsey Griffin were first team all-star, Amanda Chamberlain was second team all-star and Meaghan Myers was honorable mention all-star.”
