Justin Marchant pitched a three-hitter, walking three and striking out six over five innings as Rookies of Westbrook’s senior Babe Ruth team beat Yarmouth 11-4 last Wednesday.

Rookies, 2-0, scored eight runs in the second inning to take a 9-0 lead in the game.

Offensive standouts included Orry Cummings and Marchant, both 4-for-4 at the plate, and Tyler Crosby, who was 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs.

Steve Sands’ two-run single was the big hit in Westbrook’s big second inning.

Defensively, Cummings, Crosby and Matt Lampron came up with big plays for Westbrook.
