Cumberland County District Attorney Stephanie Anderson announced she will be presenting a Citizenship Award on behalf of the Cumberland County Underage Drinking Task force to Dan DeCosta and Jeff Coffin, co-owners of Lilley’s Limousine for their exemplary policy dealing with minors and liquor.
The award will be presented to Lilley’s at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8th on the front steps of the courthouse. Joining District Attorney Anderson will be District II Chiefs including Cumberland Police Chief Joseph Charron, Cumberland County Sheriff Mark Dion and Portland Police Chief Mike Chitwood.
“This is the kind of community involvement needed to reduce underage drinking. Today, Lilley’s Limousine Prom Policy is appropriate, effective and pro-active and the driver’s actions are considered honorable. To those transportation companies that have similar polices, we applaud you, too. To those transportation companies that don’t have such a policy or such well-trained drivers, we hope you will follow their example,” states Anderson.
