Damon graduates with high honors

Kelly Damon graduated with high honors on May 16 from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. She received both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in history.

She is the daughter of Duane and Pam Damon and the granddaughter of George and Ruth, all of Gorham.

Kelly’s parents and sister, Elizabeth, attended her graduation, which included baccalaureate and the academic honors ceremonies, both in Glenn Memorial Methodist Church. Commencement on the “quad” featured guest speaker Tom Brokaw.

They also attended a commencement brunch, an honors reception, history department reception and an open house at Lullwater, the home of James Wagner, president of the university.

Following her graduation, Kelly, a graduate of Gorham High School in 2001, is residing in Boston.

Durgin on dean’s list

Jennifer Durgin has been named to the dean’s list for the spring term at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.

Durgin is a fourth year student majoring in movement and sports studies.

Foley on dean’s list

Meghann Foley has been named to the dean’s list for the spring term at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.

Foley is a fourth year student majoring in biology.

Mathew, Stephanie excel academically

Mathew Drouin and his sister, Stephanie Drouin, both have been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Maine in Orono.

Mathew, a graduate of Gorham High School in 2001, is double majoring in electrical and computer engineering. He is also a members of the Honors College.

Stephanie, a graduate of Gorham High School in 2002, is majoring in business with a concentration in management with a minor in psychology.

They are the son and daughter of David and Lisa Drouin.

Roullard USM alumni director

Bruce Roullard was elected last month to the board of directors of the University of Southern Maine Alumni Association.

A member of the university’s class of 1984, Roullard is a senior loan officer at Allied Home Mortgage Capital Corporation in Gorham.
