A Webb Street woman was injured when her car collided with a van, flipping the van onto its roof, last Thursday.
Police said a 2001 Honda van driven by Susan Russo, 44, of Hale Street, Portland, was traveling south on Falmouth Street when Russo apparently failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of Falmouth and Bridge streets.
Police said a 1996 Acura driven by Milada Rogozinska, 58, of Webb Street, was heading east on Bridge Street and was unable to avoid hitting Russo’s vehicle as it went through the intersection. The force of the collision flipped Russo’s van upside down and the vehicle came to rest on its roof on Falmouth Street, police said.
Fire Chief Gary Littlefield said Russo was not seriously injured and she was treated at the scene and declined transport to the hospital for further treatment. Littlefield said Rogozinska, who was complaining of neck pain, was taken by ambulance to Maine Medical Center. Littlefield did not have any further information regarding her condition.
Police said Russo’s van was totaled in the crash. Police estimated the front end damage to Rogozinska’s vehicle at $6,000.
