Eleanor and Franklin: The New Deal Years A LECTURE by H. Draper Hunt:
Hunt will discuss events in the lives of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt from the years 1921 to 1940. These years cover Franklin’s term as the governor of New York, the first two Presidential terms, and his New Deal. This is Hunt’s fourth lecture at the South Portland Library, and his third lecture at the Branch location at Wescott Road. Audiences thoroughly enjoy his lectures. They are informative and filled with human-interest stories and anecdotes. Hunt always leaves time at the end for questions and comments. Don’t miss this special opportunity!
Hunt is Professor Emeritus of History at USM and he teaches popular courses at The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at USM. He has received numerous honors, and has published several books in his field.
