Longtime city employee Priscilla Hebert celebrated her last day of work on Friday afternoon.

Hebert, a police department secretary who was usually the first face visitors to the police department saw, retired after working for the city since 1981 and spending the last 14 years at the police department.

Hebert began her career with the city working in the welfare office. In 1991, she moved to the police department. On Friday, she was presented with a plaque by Mayor Bruce Chuluda thanking her for her many years of service.

When asked if she had any last thoughts before she sailed off into retirement, Hebert kept it short and sweet. “So long, it’s been good to know you,” she said with a laugh.
