The city Of Westbrook has scheduled a yard waste drop-off program for April 19 through May 20.
This program is to assist the citizens of Westbrook in disposing of yard waste and garden debris. The items eligible for drop-off are as follows:
Tree Branches – tree branches that are 3 inches or less in diameter (limited to one pickup truck load of branches per residency).
Leaves and Grass Clippings
Garden Debris
A drop-off area will be set up at the Westbrook Public Services Facility at 371 Saco St. The facility will be open to receive yard waste, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays 7 a.m. to noon.
No plastic bags will be accepted at the drop-off facility. In the event that the leaves are bagged, it is the resident’s responsibility to empty the bags and dispose of them unless biodegradable bags are used, which can be placed in the leaf receptacle.
This program is for non-commercial Westbrook residents only, proof of residency will be required (car registration, drivers license, or tax bill receipt).
NOTE: This is not a program for household waste and/or clean-up items. There will not be a large item pickup this year.
