Celebrate the arrival of the merry month of May! It’s the month that we finish planting our gardens; the month we look for sweet-smelling Mayflowers in the woods, and the month we wait for to pick lilac blossoms. It’s also time for the annual Home, Garden & Flower Show at Fryeburg Fairgrounds.
“We are ready for this show!” states Karla Ficker, producer of the event. “We have so much that is new this year including the Meet the Chefs cooking series every day, the Saturday afternoon ‘Mini’ Bridal Show, and the Sunday May Day Celebration. All that, plus six buildings and lawns full of products and services for the home, garden supplies, and an expanded food court. For the guys, there are lots of ‘big boy toys’-tractors, mowers, utility vehicles, and really cool power sport vehicles. And we have our gardening friend Paul Parent coming back to give his afternoon talks. He’ll also broadcast his nationwide Sunday morning radio show, The Paul Parent Garden Show, live from the fairgrounds. It is going to be a great weekend.”
The Home, Garden & Flower Show at Fryeburg Fairgrounds opens its doors Friday morning, April 29, and runs through Sunday, May 1. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $7 for Adults; $6 for Seniors; and children under 12 are always free.
