The hearing over a proposed development on Trundy Point that was scheduled for April 26 has been postponed by request of both parties until May 24. The requested postponement was made to save the town any unnecessary preparation while the two parties discuss a possible settlement, according to Code Enforcement Officer Bruce Smith.

Neighbors and landowner Adam Mack are involved in a dispute over whether Mack should be allowed to build a foundation on a lot that includes the scenic rocky ledge called Trundy Point.

Smith had granted a building permit for the foundation, which was appealed by neighbors concerned it would hurt their properties’ ocean views.
