From Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1, the Fryeburg Fairgrounds will be bustling with spring at the annual Home, Garden & Flower Show.
This year, the show occupies six exhibit halls and outdoor exhibit areas. There are more home, garden, and flower vendors, more shopping opportunities, more food vendors, and more activities.
“This is a very big show now,” comments Karla Ficker, producer of the event. “It has doubled in size over last year. We have added great new events such as the Meet the Chefs cooking series, a “mini” bridal show, and family-oriented May Day activities.”
A new “mini” bridal show will take place Saturday afternoon in a chapel setting in the Expo 1 hall. On Sunday afternoon, May Day, activities are planned for children and families, including a May Pole dance.
Paul Parent, host of the Paul Parent Garden Club radio show, will return for the three-day event. Parent will present his informative, and entertaining, seminars each afternoon.
The Home, Garden & Flower Show at Fryeburg Fairgrounds runs Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults and $6 for seniors. Children under 10 are free.
