How did season end: Won the Class B state championship
Key veterans: Paul Kierstead, Tom Gruber (second-team all league pitcher), Nick Freed, Taylor White, Pat Kertes, Drake Livada, Kyle Dancause, Mike Kertes, Ryan Hatch, Kyle Toot, Joe Geogeghan
Key newcomers: Pat Murphy, Kevin Martin
Key concern: Getting playing time for such a deep and talented group.
Coach’s outlook: We return eight starters and all key reserves from last year’s state championship team. Pitching, defense and smart baserunning were the keys to our success last year. Our philosophy will continue to focus on sound fundamentals and trying to play to our strengths. This is a unique group of players who are confident in their abilities and truly enjoy playing together.
Girls lacrosse
Coach: Sarah Kinsella (2nd year)
Spring 2004 Record: 11-6
How did season end: Lost to Kennebunk 11-10 in the semi-finals
Key veterans: Kristina Scontras, Carly Rapaport, Grace Needleman, Jenny Croteau
Key newcomers: Sarah Landis, Hanna Landis, Erin Lamberth, Chelsea Kotch, Caty Smith
Key concern: We graduated seven seniors. Most of them played defense.
Coach’s outlook: If we can build team chemistry on defense we have the individual skill that should make us very competitive.
Boys track
Coach: David Weatherbie (3rd year)
How did season end: Took second at the states
Key veterans: Kevin Harrison, Joel Bickford, Keegan Toot, Stanis Moody-Roberts
Key newcomers: Curtis Dulac
Key concern: Depth in long-distance events
Coach’s outlook: We should be a very good team. If we can develop some long-distance runners we should be one of the best teams in the state.
Girls track
Coach: David Weatherbie (3rd year)
How did season end: Finished third in the state
Key veterans: Claire Egan, Olivia C. Weill, Laura Williamson
Key newcomers: Elyse Moody-Roberts
Key concern: Freshmen need to round out our depth. We are hoping to develop some sprinters.
Coach’s outlook: Should be a very powerful team and once again finish in the top three at states.
Boys lacrosse
Coach: Ben Raymond (7th year)

How did season end: Lost in the state final
Key veterans: Dan Rautenberg, Ben McKinney, Ron Kelton, Jacob Metzger, Bryan Holden, Jeff Croteau
Key newcomers: Brett Brown
Coach’s outlook: Should be very competitive this year.
Girls tennis
Coach: Jamyn Mooney (1st year)
How did season end: Lost in western Maine final
Key veterans: Kaley Skapinsky, Monica Nicholas, and Amanda & Melissa Slack
Key newcomers: Sophomores – Heather Furman, Fiona Donegan, and freshman Julia Hewes
Key concern: No major concerns
Coach’s outlook: Although we have a very young team this year I am confident that we will have a very successful season. I’m looking forward to working with a great group of girls this spring.

Key concern: Young doubles
Coach’s outlook: We will be competitive.
Softball
Coach: Joe Hendrickson (8th year)
Spring 2004 Record: 11-6
How did season end: Lost in the quarterfinals to the eventual state champion
Key veterans: Erica Legge, Brennan Balfour, Jackie Moran, Rachel Budkowitz, Whitney Legge, Marla Houton, Maureen Kertes
Key newcomers: Anna Boulos
Key concern: We want them to compete and improve each day.
Coach’s outlook: If we stay positive and keep working hard, we should be very competitive in the playoffs.
