Two local doctors will speak to the Wentworth PTA about “The Importance of Eating Well and Exercise for Our Youth” on Tuesday, April 5, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Wentworth band room.
Dr. Lisa Letourneau and Dr. Steve Kirsch will give advice to parents and children to help kids stay fit and healthy, including issues young people are facing with their weight, health and exercise in a fast-paced, fast-food world.
Does your child have poor eating habits or lack energy? How do you know if your child is overweight or at risk for a weight problem? What is “body mass index” and how does this measurement help identify kids at risk? What can parents do to make sure they get enough exercise each day?
Letourneau and Kirsch will answer these and other questions.
The public is welcome to this free event.
