Three juvenile females from Scarborough, one 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds, were reported threatening a 16-year-old Scarborough female just after 2 p.m. March 2 at Meadowwoods Apartments on Gorham Road. The trio were served cease-harassment orders, according to Detective Sgt. Rick Rouse.

Headed to Paris
A Budget rental truck valued at $35,000 was reported stolen Feb. 28. It had been rented by someone who was going to drive it to Roanoke, Va., but it never turned up there. Police have since located it in Paris, Texas, undamaged.
Party leads to thefts
A brother and sister, both juveniles, held a party at their parents’ home on Wildrose Lane that resulted in several items being reported stolen from the home Feb. 28. The total value of the stolen items was $2,729, including a $1,200 set of luggage, a $250 Apple iPod music player and several duffel bags.
Ring, cards stolen
The Studio 114 Hair Salon on Gorham Road reported a $7,000 diamond ring stolen March 3, along with credit cards and gift certificates to several local businesses. The salon did not appear to have been broken into, according to Detective Sgt. Rick Rouse.
Not just playing possum
A Williamsburg Lane resident called police March 4 to report that he had trapped a possum under a garbage can. The possum was slow-moving and had been out during the day, but had no other symptoms of any illness. The police dispatcher told the resident the animal control officer would come around to deal with the possum, and the homeowner responded that he would keep the possum under the trash can until then.
