On Jan. 9 I, Sgt. Fay, conducted a traffic stop after observing a violation. As a result the operator, Richard Chadbourne, 19, was issued a summons for operating with suspended registration. The car was towed.

On Jan. 9 I, Sgt Fay, met with a resident of the Shore road area regarding harassing phone calls. Case is under further investigation.

On Jan. 11 at or about 9:00 a.m. I, Captain Sinclair, met with a resident of Shore Road regarding criminal mischief to a window. Someone had fired a BB or pellet into the 4′ X 6′ pane of glass.

On Jan. 10 at 3:48 p.m., a school bus driver stopped at the police department regarding a vehicle that had passed his bus at a high rate of speed while he was discharging students on Route 77. Another bus in the area was able to obtain a plate from a vehicle that matched the description. I, Sgt Steindl, made contact with the registered owner regarding the complaint.

On Jan. 10 at 8:26 p.m. I, Sgt. Kennedy, responded to a female residence in the Broad Cove area for a domestic dispute involving a verbal and physical altercation. I spoke with all involved and provided information on available services. Assured the problem was rectified for the night, no further action

On Jan. 12 at approximately 11:20 a.m. I, Detective Fenton met with a resident of the Scott Dyer Road area regarding a criminal complaint for home repair fraud. The complainant had entered into a contract with a roofer and had paid half down for material with the work to begin in Sept 2005. The case was forwarded to the district attorney’s office for felony review.

John Swain, 40, of 72 Snowberry Drive, South Portland, was summoned on Route 77 for an uninspected vehicle.

Julie Harmon, 59, of 23 Cottage Farms Road, was summoned on Scott Dyer Road for speeding 35 in a 25.

A juvenile male, 16, was summoned on route 77 for operating without a license.

Jan. 15

Christopher Burton, 18, of 22 Stonegate Road, was summoned on Route 77 for speeding 54 in a 35.

Jan. 13

A juvenile male, 16, was arrested on Ocean St. in South Portland for operating without a license.

Fire and Rescue

The Cape Elizabeth rescue responded to nine calls between Jan. 10 and Jan. 15. Four patients were transported to Maine Medical Center, four to Mercy hospital, and one required no transport.

The Cape Elizabeth Fire Department responded to a Carbon dioxide concern in Cape Wooods on Jan. 10 at 11:24 a.m.; a motor vehicle accident on Ocean House Road on Jan. 12 at 4:32 p.m.; an unpermitted burn on Spurwink Avenue on Jan. 13 at 5:30 p.m.
