Welcoming more students and enhancing already wonderful systems to support development and growth will require creative and strategic planning. This growth is also our biggest opportunity; with a larger school system we foster more opportunities for broadening our offerings to meet each child where they start and prepare them to shine.

A top issue for many parents is the age of Maine’s school infrastructure. State involvement is the structure we begin with, and it is our task to work with that framework and to adjust where needed when necessary.
