Top Three Priorities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As the mayor of Sanford\/Springvale, the top priorities will be to make sure that the communications from the \u201ccitizens\u201d and the city manager are in proper format and order. That old and new business is presented to the city councilors for their vote and committee recommendations. Having a vote on city business as required by the job description.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Why are you running?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

I am running for this position to bring a voice for the people of Sanford and Springvale. For years after the COVID pandemic, I have noticed that civic support and communications have changed. I feel it would be my civic privilege to give input and options of involvement. We are very busy with our day-to-day lives. It should be the mayor\u2019s job to relay information to the public regarding big decisions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

What is the biggest challenge facing your town\/county? The biggest opportunity?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

Sanford and Springvale are on the way up. There are a great number of infrastructure improvements going on. We need to increase the residential population so we can appeal to the franchises to invest in our city. We also need good-quality jobs to raise the household median income level. We have a good location in southern Maine for distribution. We have a huge asset with the airport to include to the appeal of the technology industry.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

If you could change one thing about how the town\/county functions, what would it be and why?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

Keeping progress moving forward would be the key to a successful community. More civic engagement with people who feel good about living in Sanford and Springvale. Less downplay about the problems in the community. Together with your help, we can make this a friendlier place to live and work. I\u2019m asking for your vote on Nov. 3. We can do this!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Do you support more development \u2013 i.e. more housing construction and business building in your town\/county? Why or why not?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

Having good investors in our city now, like the Water Street refurbishment of the old Jagger Mill complex in Springvale, is a win for our community. Soon, the River Street mill in Sanford will be developed, and the town will need to have more entertainment options. It would be beneficial to seek all industry and entertainment venues.
