Top Three Priorities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My top three priorities are education, safety, and affordability. Having a child is what got me to really start paying attention to local politics. The decline of education was entirely preventable. Living with crime is a choice. Yes not all crime is equal, however we are a community with rules. Maine has become unfriendly to businesses and open to taxing everything.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Why are you running?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m running because I think working class families have been left out of the conversation. Our education system is failing our children. Those currently in Augusta claim they are for the working people, but the policies prove otherwise. You should be able to go to work and send your children to school and expect them to learn basic math and to read. You should be able to work hard and have a good life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

What is one way Maine is on the right track? What is one way the state is on the wrong track?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s honestly difficult to find an instance of Maine being on the right track. I suppose we have all been able to recognize the issues facing us. Now it\u2019s just a matter of coming together and finding something that works for all of us. Maine is failing regular working families who are the backbone of the state. Turning your lights on is twice as expensive as it was less than a decade ago, specifically because of decisions out of Augusta.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

As one of several dozen legislators in your chamber, how would you make a measurable difference for your constituents?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

First and foremost we need to lower the cost of power. That is a real issue that will lighten the load of every Mainer and is a direct result of bad policies. The most critical issue is fixing education. It may take a while to do but it\u2019s not impossible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Surveys show the economy is the top concern of voters. What is a specific proposal addressing Maine voters\u2019 economic anxieties that you\u2019d work to make law?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

Lower the cost of power. Everything we do relies on energy in one form or another. Cheap, reliable energy is transformative. It helps build strong economies, it lowers the baseline cost of everything: operating a business, getting to work, delivering goods and services. Everything we have come to expect in this world requires energy.
