Top Three Priorities
1. Cost of living: Lower costs and improve affordability so Maine families can keep more of what they work hard to earn. 2. Infrastructure: Rebuild Maine’s roads, bridges, energy grid and broadband through smart, targeted investments that improve safety and strengthen our economy. 3. Education in an AI-dominated world: Support teachers with better pay and training while ensuring students develop critical thinking, independent learning, and communication skills so AI strengthens, not replaces, real education.
Why are you running?
I am running for the Maine Senate because I believe Maine needs servant leaders with real-world experience who are willing to work across the aisle and solve problems. As a father of three, attorney, small-business owner and veteran, I have a personal stake in our district’s future. I understand the pressures facing families, seniors, employees and employers. I will bring fiscal prudence, practical leadership and a commitment to representing every constituent, regardless of party.
What is one way Maine is on the right track? What is one way the state is on the wrong track?
Maine is on the right track in the character of its people. We are passionate, invested in our communities, and fortunate to benefit from the experience of our large senior population. Maine is on the wrong track when it comes to affordability and quality of life. After eight years of one-party control, objective national measures show Maine falling behind. Too often, voters overlook state legislative races, despite those elected officials having the greatest influence over Maine’s direction.
As one of several dozen legislators in your chamber, how would you make a measurable difference for your constituents?
In divisive times, the difference I can make starts with objectivity by weighing all sides before I act. As a military officer, I’ve served at an embassy in a combat zone and advocated at the highest levels. I’ve also worked as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney. I’ll bring that same measured, evidence-based approach to Augusta, representing every constituent in this district regardless of where they fall on the political spectrum.
Surveys show the economy is the top concern of voters. What is a specific proposal addressing Maine voters’ economic anxieties that you’d work to make law?
For eight years, affordability hasn’t been the priority that it should be. That changes with me. I’d advocate for raising the homestead exemption amount and expanding Maine’s Property Tax Fairness Credit by removing the age threshold and opening it to renters, not just homeowners. Real relief means addressing the cost of living head-on, for every Mainer, at every stage of life.
