Top Three Priorities

1. Protecting municipal revenue sharing so Waterville and Winslow receive their fair share of state resources and we reduce pressure on local property taxpayers. 2. Strengthening access to affordable health care and quality education, while creating more opportunities for young people. 3. Supporting local businesses and economic growth through workforce development, internships and apprenticeships that connect people with good jobs.

Why are you running?

I’m running because I work for the people of Waterville and Winslow. I believe public service starts with listening to people, understanding what they need, and then getting to work. During my first term, I’ve worked hard to stay connected to the people I represent and bring their voices with me to Augusta. I’m asking for another term so we can keep moving forward together.

What is one way Maine is on the right track? What is one way the state is on the wrong track?

Maine has made progress, but families are still struggling with housing, health care, property taxes and everyday costs, and businesses continue to face workforce challenges. We need to keep working together on practical solutions that strengthen our communities and make Maine a place where families, young people and businesses can succeed.

As one of several dozen legislators in your chamber, how would you make a measurable difference for your constituents?

I bring the perspective of a mother, immigrant, small business owner, tax professional and local elected official. I understand how decisions made in Augusta affect families, businesses and municipalities because I see those impacts firsthand. Most importantly, I listen. I’m willing to work with people across differences, ask difficult questions and stay focused on practical solutions for the people I represent.

Surveys show the economy is the top concern of voters. What is a specific proposal addressing Maine voters’ economic anxieties that you’d work to make law?

Maine needs to make it easier for small businesses to start, grow and stay here while creating more opportunities for our young people. I support expanding paid internships, apprenticeships and workforce training that connect students with local employers. Investing in our youth and small businesses creates good jobs, builds our future workforce and gives young people more reasons to build their futures here in Maine.
