Top Three Priorities

My top priorities are making Maine more affordable, expanding attainable housing while respecting local communities, and strengthening childcare so families can find care and providers can recruit and retain qualified staff.

Why are you running?

I am running because families, seniors and small businesses are being squeezed by rising costs and too often feel unheard. As a childcare provider and employer, I understand the effect state decisions have on everyday life. I want to bring practical, accountable leadership to Augusta and deliver results for Standish.

What is one way Maine is on the right track? What is one way the state is on the wrong track?

Maine is on the right track when we invest in our communities, workforce and children. We are on the wrong track when state spending and mandates increase faster than families and small businesses can absorb. Every proposal should be judged by its cost, effectiveness and effect on Maine people.

As one of several dozen legislators in your chamber, how would you make a measurable difference for your constituents?

I would stay accessible, communicate regularly and turn constituent concerns into action. I would track bills and agency issues I help resolve, report those results publicly, and work across party lines when it benefits Standish. My measure would be tangible outcomes, not speeches or party loyalty.

Surveys show the economy is the top concern of voters. What is a specific proposal addressing Maine voters’ economic anxieties that you’d work to make law?

I would work to establish a refundable tax credit for employers that help pay for or provide childcare, covering 50% of qualifying costs up to $3,000 per child. That would lower costs for working parents, help businesses recruit and retain employees, and strengthen Maine’s workforce.
