Why are you running?

I'm running to help build a better future for the people of Hermon, Carmel as well as our neighbors throughout Maine. A thoughtful approach to making government work for everyone is needed.

What is one way Maine is on the right track? What is one way the state is on the wrong track?

Democrats are on track with their commitment to improving public education by enacting laws such as the bell-to-bell cell phone ban, "An Act to Increase the Minimum Salary for Teachers" and by making permanent the Maine Community College System no-cost tuition progam. Our elected leaders need to come together and help find solutions for our senior citizens. From property tax relief to home health services, and everything in between, our seniors are facing a real crisis.

As one of several dozen legislators in your chamber, how would you make a measurable difference for your constituents?

Party affiliation doesn't matter when a good idea or solution crosses my desk. We all want the same thing, a job that enables us to buy a home and provide for our families and leaves a little time in the week to play in this beautiful state we call home. When we put our heads together, we can improve life for all Mainers.

Surveys show the economy is the top concern of voters. What is a specific proposal addressing Maine voters’ economic anxieties that you’d work to make law?

Municipal tax relief is a key concern in my district. We all have experienced a significant increase in our property taxes due to the exploding costs of municipal and county budgets.
