JED HARRIS

PORTLAND — Jed Harris of Falmouth was recently elected as a board member of the Maine Real Estate & Development Association (MEREDA), a statewide organization of commercial real estate owners, developers and related service providers.

Harris began his career on Wall Street working for J.P. Morgan in mergers and acquisitions, and later iFormation, a venture capital firm. He moved to Portland in 2004 and, following a lifelong passion for real estate, opened his own real estate investment firm, North Atlantic Properties. The firm and its affiliates own and invest in a portfolio of commercial properties.

Jed is an active member of the community and serves as the president of the Falmouth Land Trust and on the board of the Portland Community Chamber.

Shelly Clark, business and operations manager of MEREDA, said, “We are pleased that Jed has accepted our invitation to participate on the MEREDA board, as well as on our Conference Committee.”
