The manager of Phoever Maine said she expects the restaurant will open on outer Congress Street in Portland early in the new year.

Phoever Maine had been located on Larrabee Road in Westbrook since 2013. They closed that space in July, and prepared to move to their new home at 1227 Congress St., which had housed Anania’s deli, pizzeria and convenience store for 52 years.

Manager Jen Huynh said Phoever Maine’s move was delayed by permitting and inspection snags, but that now, “everything is moving the right direction” for the restaurant to relaunch in early 2026.
